The Art of Listening

PMDD Therapy & Support — Online, UK-wide

A steadier path through every cycle.

PMDD — premenstrual dysphoric disorder — can feel like a significant shift in mood, energy and emotional wellbeing across the menstrual cycle.
You might notice anxiety, low mood, irritability or emotional sensitivity that feels much more intense at certain points in the month — and then lifts, leaving you wondering whether what you felt was real. Over time, that cycle can be exhausting and isolating.

I offer online therapy and support for PMDD in English and Portuguese, for adults across the UK and Portugal.

How I can help

How PMDD therapy can help

Therapy for PMDD works alongside any medical care you're receiving. It won't replace it — but it can make a real difference to how you move through each cycle.
Together we can:

    understand your cycle-related patterns

support emotional regulation across different phases

reduce shame and confusion around symptoms

    improve day-to-day functioning and self-support

build a kinder, more informed relationship with your body

How I work

Supporting mind and body through each cycle

My approach is integrative and person-centred. I draw on nervous system regulation, somatic tools including EFT (tapping), and ways of eating that support your body through each cycle. Together, these can help you find steadier ground from one month to the next.
I also work with the self-criticism and shame that so often come with PMDD — the feeling that you should be able to "control" it, or that what you experience isn't valid.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes. Whether or not you meet diagnostic criteria, if cyclical mood changes are affecting your life, therapy can help you understand the patterns and work with them rather than against them.

  • No. A formal diagnosis is helpful for medical treatment decisions, but it isn't required for therapy.

  • Therapy and medication do different things, and many people find a combination of both helpful. I'll never advise you to stop or change medication — that's a decision between you and your GP or specialist.
