Site Redesign: The site is being redesigned this week. Please bear with us if things break, move around or don't look quite right for a short time.
Therapy for PMDD works alongside any medical care you're receiving. It won't replace it — but it can make a real difference to how you move through each cycle.
Together we can:
My approach is integrative and person-centred. I draw on nervous system regulation, somatic tools including EFT (tapping), and ways of eating that support your body through each cycle. Together, these can help you find steadier ground from one month to the next.
I also work with the self-criticism and shame that so often come with PMDD — the feeling that you should be able to "control" it, or that what you experience isn't valid.
Very helpful. I feel Jael has been walking alongside me during a very difficult time in my life.

Yes. Whether or not you meet diagnostic criteria, if cyclical mood changes are affecting your life, therapy can help you understand the patterns and work with them rather than against them.
No. A formal diagnosis is helpful for medical treatment decisions, but it isn't required for therapy.
Therapy and medication do different things, and many people find a combination of both helpful. I'll never advise you to stop or change medication — that's a decision between you and your GP or specialist.
